Practice Pro University is rolling out our first-ever SWING CLASS for 8th - 12th graders. Do you want to be among the first 6 players selected to grow in your offensive capabilities with two former college coaches?  

WHO:

By now you already know Coach Erica Hanrahan, my cousin.  Her teams at DePauw were able to produce multiple runs per game against the best pitchers in the country because they were able to score in a variety of ways: utilizing the short game, applying an execution offense, hitting the long ball, and implementing adaptive swing paths.  Joining her will be Coach Phil Sassone, who formerly assisted the Dominican University Stars as a coach and hitting guru.  Phil specializes in the mechanics of the swing to produce maximum power, and is adept at personalizing drills to help each hitter fix her individual flaws.  

8th - 12th graders may apply.

WHEN:

Together, Phil and Erica will teach 6 hitters in a 5-lesson program Tuesday nights from 7:30pm - 8:15pm
January 21st, February 4th, February 18th, March 4th, and March 18th.

WHERE:

This class will be held at 5731 W. Howard in Niles.

WHAT*:

In addition to the 5 lessons on the aforementioned dates and times listed above, each hitter will be offered 2 time slots (for 7 total lessons*) to receive real time, live at-bat instruction off of Practice Pro Elite Class pitchers on Feb 3rd or 4th and March 3rd or 4th. (we will assign the exact dates & times for each player once they are accepted into the class). During these 2 live hitting sessions, athletes will receive feedback on how to make in-game adjustments from at-bat to at-bat, and even within individual plate appearances.  

HOW:

Registration will stay open until January 13th, 2025, or until 6 players sign up.  Cost of attendance will be $550. Additional classes may be offered in April & May, depending on facility availability. 

WHY:

As usual, Practice Pro is thinking outside of the box on traditional methods to improving your game.  Hitting lessons are excellent.   But what about learning plate approach, strike zone discipline, swing path adaptations, short game excellence, and live at-bat adjustments IN ADDITION to traditional swing improvement mechanisms?

The hitting classes will not be able to be rescheduled.
